I bought Carpatina doll stands for my girls. They are $8 a piece.

The quality is very good. The base is quite a bit smaller than the AG stand and they don't feel quite as sturdy. They are fine for regular play and display but you might want at least one AG stand for holding the dolls up while you do their hair.

They are a bit easier to use than the AG stand. The stand comes bolted together so no problems with the screws loosening (big issue w/ my AG stand). They are sturdy enought to hold the dolls up, and the smaller bottoms are not as obvious and don't get in the way as much when you play or dress the girls. The color of the wood base is a nice cherry stain .

For the price, I am very pleased with these stands and recommend them to other collectors.
